OTA Builder Terms of Service

These terms explain what OTA Builder gives you, what you are responsible for, and what happens if the rules are broken. They are written in plain language on purpose.

Updated September 15, 2026

These terms of service apply when you create an account, build a site or sell travel with OTA Builder. By using OTA Builder you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Who operates the service

OTA Builder is operated by [operator company name to be published]. The registered address is [operator address to be published]. You can write to the team at hello@ota-builder.com, and the same address works for questions about these terms.

In these terms, "we" means the operator named above, "you" means the person or business with the account, and "your site" means the travel booking website you build with OTA Builder.

What the free plan includes

The free plan costs nothing. Building your site, running it and selling on it are free. The free plan gives you:

  1. Your travel booking website, with flights, hotels and activities.
  2. Your brand name and your colors, which you can change at any time.
  3. Your own markup on flights, hotels and activities, which you keep.
  4. A free subdomain on ota-sites.com, and the option to use your own domain instead.
  5. The help center and guides.
  6. A small "Built with OTA Builder" line in your site footer.

What the $99 per year bundle includes

The optional bundle costs $99 per year and adds three things to the free plan: a free domain of your choice, removal of the "Built with OTA Builder" line, and premium support.

If you do not renew the bundle, your site stays online on the free plan. The domain and premium support end with the bundle, and the "Built with OTA Builder" line comes back in your footer. Nothing is deleted because a bundle lapsed. Refund rules for the bundle are on the refund policy page.

Prices on your site

You set your own selling prices. You choose the markup you add on flights, hotels and activities, and you decide when to change it.

Rates shown on sites built with OTA Builder include OTA Builder's service margin and are not represented as the lowest available price.

Do not describe your prices in a way that is untrue. Fake discounts, invented former prices and comparisons you cannot support are not allowed, and they are covered in the acceptable use policy.

What you are responsible for

Your site is your business. You are responsible for:

  • The prices you charge your customers and the markup you set.
  • Registering your business where that is required of you.
  • Your own taxes, including how you report and pay them.
  • The consumer rules that apply where you trade, including what you must tell a customer before they pay and how you handle complaints.
  • What you publish on your site: your brand name, your text and your images.

We do not give you legal, tax or accounting advice. Rules differ by country. Check the requirements that apply to you where you do business, and get your own advice if you are unsure.

Acceptable use

The acceptable use policy forms part of these terms. It covers impersonation, misleading prices, taking payments outside the checkout on your site, identity verification before a first payout, and illegal or deceptive use. Read it before you launch, because a breach can cost you your account.

Anyone can report a site to us through the report abuse page.

Bookings, tickets and vouchers

Your customers search, book and pay on your site, and they receive their tickets and vouchers by email.

Flight tickets are ordinary airline e-tickets. They are issued through OTA Builder's ticketing partner and they follow each fare's rules, including the rules on refunds and changes. The PNR is in the passenger's own name, and the passenger can check it on the airline's own website.

Hotel bookings and activity bookings follow the policies shown before payment, such as the check in window, the rules on children, pets, meals and deposits, and the ticket types offered for an activity. A hotel voucher or activity voucher arrives by email with your site's name on it.

Suspending or closing an account

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy. New sites are screened by name, and we verify identity before a first payout.

Where the problem can be fixed, we normally warn you first and tell you what to change. Where the problem is serious, such as impersonating an airline or a hotel brand, deceiving travelers or taking money for bookings that do not exist, we can suspend the account straight away.

You can close your own account at any time by writing to hello@ota-builder.com.

Which law applies

This agreement is governed by the law of the country where [operator company name to be published] is registered. The courts of that country hear disputes about this agreement.

Which country that is appears with the operator's registration details, shown with [operator company name to be published] and [operator address to be published] on this site. If you want those details in writing before you sign up, ask at hello@ota-builder.com and we will send them.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms when the service changes or when the rules need to be clearer. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published.

When a change affects what you pay, what you get or what you are responsible for, we tell account holders by email before it takes effect. Smaller corrections, such as fixing a broken link or rewording a sentence, are published here without an email. Using OTA Builder after a change takes effect means you accept the new version.

How to reach us

Write to hello@ota-builder.com with any question about these terms. Replies arrive within two working days, and bundle holders get premium support. General questions about the product belong on the contact page, and reports about a site built with OTA Builder belong on the report abuse page.
