OTA Builder Refund Policy
This policy covers money you pay to OTA Builder: the $99 per year bundle and the domain that comes with it. Refunds for a trip your customer booked work differently.
Updated September 15, 2026
This refund policy covers what you pay OTA Builder. There is one thing to pay for, the optional bundle at $99 per year, so there is one refund rule to learn. The service is operated by [operator company name to be published] at [operator address to be published].
Refunds for a flight, a hotel or an activity that a traveler booked are a separate matter, and the last section of this page explains where those go.
The free plan has nothing to refund
The free plan costs nothing. Your website, the booking engine, selling on it, your brand and colors, your own markup, your free subdomain on ota-sites.com and the help center are all free, so there is no payment and no refund.
You can use your own domain on the free plan as well. If you buy that domain somewhere else, you pay that company and their refund rules apply, not ours.
The $99 per year bundle
The bundle costs $99 per year. It adds a free domain of your choice, removal of the "Built with OTA Builder" line, and premium support.
You can ask for a full refund of the $99 within 14 days of paying, on one condition: no domain has been registered yet. If you have not picked a domain and we have not registered one for you, you get the full amount back.
Here is the rule in short form.
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| Within 14 days, no domain registered | Full $99 refunded |
| Within 14 days, domain already registered | Domain fee not refunded |
| After 14 days | No refund for that year |
Why domain fees are not refundable
A domain is registered in your name with a registrar, and that registration is paid for the moment it is made. The money leaves us and does not come back. That is why the domain fee stops being refundable as soon as the domain is registered, even inside the 14 days.
The domain and premium support end with the bundle. If you stop paying for the bundle, write to hello@ota-builder.com before your year runs out and the team will tell you what applies to your domain.
If you want to think about the bundle without closing the door, wait before you choose your domain. Until a domain is registered, the 14 day refund is still open to you.
What happens to your site after a refund
Nothing is deleted. Your site stays online on the free plan, with the same booking engine, the same brand and colors and the same markup settings.
Three things change when the bundle ends, whether it ends through a refund or because you did not renew it:
- The "Built with OTA Builder" line comes back in your site footer.
- Premium support ends, and support goes back to the normal reply time of two working days.
- The domain that came with the bundle ends with the bundle.
Your site keeps working through all of that. Bookings your customers already made are not affected.
How to ask for a refund
Write to hello@ota-builder.com from the email address on the account. Tell us three things:
- The name of your site.
- The date you paid for the bundle.
- Whether a domain has been registered.
We reply within two working days. If the refund applies, we return the $99 to you. If it does not apply, we tell you why in plain words, and you can ask us to look again.
You do not have to give a reason for asking. A reason helps us make the product better, so we will ask, but the answer does not change your refund.
Refunds for a trip, not for the bundle
Refunds for a traveler's flight, hotel or activity booking are a different thing, and this policy does not cover them.
Those refunds follow the fare rules or the property policies shown before payment. A flight follows its fare rules, including whether it can be refunded or changed at all. A hotel follows the policy shown on the room before booking. An activity follows the rules of the ticket type bought.
If you are a traveler, deal with the site you booked on. That site is run by its owner under their own brand, they took your payment, and they are the ones who handle your request. Their contact details are on their site.
If you own a site built with OTA Builder, your customer's refund request comes to you first. Check the fare rules or the property policy shown at the time of booking, and tell your customer what those rules say. Where a refund or a change is possible under those rules, you handle it through your account.
Money you charged as your own markup is your own decision. You set it, you keep it, and you decide what happens to it when you refund a customer.
