OTA Builder Privacy Policy
This policy covers the OTA Builder marketing site: what it collects, why it collects it, and how you ask for a copy of your data or ask us to delete it.
Updated September 15, 2026
This privacy policy describes the information the OTA Builder marketing site collects from visitors. The site is run by [operator company name to be published] at [operator address to be published], and questions go to hello@ota-builder.com.
The short version: this site collects what you type into a form, the email address you give the newsletter, and analytics that stay switched off until you agree to them.
What this site collects
There are four ways information reaches us from this site.
- The form on the start page. You fill it in when you want to build a site.
- The form on the contact page. You fill it in when you have a question.
- The form on the report abuse page. You fill it in when you want to report a site built with OTA Builder.
- The newsletter signup, which takes an email address and nothing else.
Each form collects what you type into its fields, plus an email address so that the team can reply to you. Only fill in what you are comfortable sending. None of the forms ask for a card number, a passport number or a password, and you should never put one in the message.
Analytics
This site can measure how many people visit a page and which pages they read. Those analytics stay off until you agree to them in the consent banner. If you do not agree, no analytics are collected and the site works normally. The cookie policy explains the banner and how to change your answer later.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
Why we collect it
Each piece has one purpose.
- Form messages: to answer your question, set up your account or look into a report.
- Newsletter email: to send you the newsletter, and nothing else.
- Analytics: to see which pages are read and which are not, so the site gets better.
We do not use a form message for marketing. Writing to support does not sign you up to the newsletter, and reporting a site does not either.
Who else sees it
Two kinds of company help us run this site.
- A service that handles enquiries. Form submissions are sent to it, and the team reads and answers them there.
- Our analytics provider, which measures page visits once you have agreed to analytics.
Both are companies we pay to do a job for us. Neither is allowed to use what it holds for its own purposes. Nobody outside that gets your information unless you ask us to send it somewhere, or unless we are required to hand it over by a lawful request.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it for, and no longer.
A support message stays while your question is open and while it is useful as a record of what we agreed. A newsletter address stays until you unsubscribe. A report of abuse stays while we look into it and while the outcome matters, because a site we suspended can ask us to look again.
When information stops being needed for its purpose, we delete it. You can also ask us to delete it sooner, and the next section explains how.
What you can ask for
You can ask us for two things at any time.
- A copy of what we hold about you.
- Deletion of what we hold about you.
To ask, write to hello@ota-builder.com from the email address you used with us, and say which of the two you want. Replies arrive within two working days. If we need something to find your records, such as the date you wrote to us, we will ask for it and nothing more.
Deletion has one limit worth knowing. If you ask us to delete a report of abuse you filed, the report itself may stay on the account it was filed against, because the site owner has a right to know why their account was suspended. We will tell you if that applies to your request.
Unsubscribing from the newsletter
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. One click stops the emails. You can also write to hello@ota-builder.com and ask us to remove the address.
Children
This site is for people running or starting a travel business. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child. If you think a child has sent us something through a form, write to hello@ota-builder.com and we will delete it.
Sites built with OTA Builder
This policy covers the OTA Builder marketing site only. A travel booking website built with OTA Builder is run by its owner under their own brand. That owner decides what their own site collects from their customers and publishes their own policy for it. If you booked a trip on such a site and you have a question about your data, write to the site you booked on.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we collect changes or when the wording needs to be clearer. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published. If a change means we start collecting something new, we say so in the consent banner or in the form itself, before you send anything.
How to reach us
