OTA Builder Cookie Policy

By default the OTA Builder site stores one small thing in your browser: your answer to the consent banner. If you sign in to your account, it also stores the cookies that keep you signed in. Nothing else is stored until you agree to it.

Analytics and advertising measurement are switched on only after you say yes. Until then nothing is stored for either. The site is run by Ushba Tech LLC at E. Parjiani St. N 6, Mestia, Georgia, and cookie questions go to info@ota-builder.com.

The same rules apply to every visitor, wherever you are: we ask first everywhere, not only where a law says we must.

What this site stores without asking

Only what the site needs to do what you asked of it.

1. Your consent choice. When you answer the banner, the site stores that answer so it does not ask you again on every page, and so it never loads anything you turned down.
2. Your sign in, if you have an account. When you sign in or create your site, two cookies keep you signed in: one holds the secret session, which page scripts cannot read, and one only says that you are signed in, so the header can show the link to your account. Signing out removes both.

None of these is shared with anyone, and none is used to measure or advertise. Clearing your browser data removes them.

The consent choice has to be stored even if you refuse. Storing "no" is the only way the site can remember not to ask again and not to load anything you turned down.

What is stored only after you agree

Two things: analytics and advertising measurement, both provided by Google.

If you agree in the banner and the site runs analytics, it loads Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies in your browser. They count visits, show which pages are read and show how people move between pages. We use that to decide which guides to write and which pages to fix.

We also run Google's advertising tag, so that we can see how many people who arrive from one of our ads go on to create a site. After you agree, that tag stores a cookie in your browser which records that you arrived from an ad, so the signup can be matched back to it.

For the rest of your visit, the site also keeps the campaign you arrived from (the name of the ad campaign or the link you followed, and the reference Google adds to an ad's link) in your browser's session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab. If you fill in a form, it is sent with the form, so we know which campaign brought you.

Google sets its cookies under its own names and lifetimes, and it can change them. We do not list the names here, because a list we do not keep up to date is worse than no list. If you want to see exactly what is set in your browser, open your browser's own cookie or site data view for this site after you have agreed.

What the advertising tag does before you agree

The advertising tag is on every page, because the page an ad sends you to is the page where it has to be. Before you answer the banner it is held in a denied state: it stores nothing in your browser and reads nothing from it. Google is told that a page was opened and which one, with the technical details any web request carries (such as the IP address and the type of browser). Ad click references in what it sends are redacted. If you answer no, it stays that way for as long as that answer is stored.

If you arrived from one of our ads, the reference Google put in the ad's link stays in the address of the pages you open next. That way, if you agree a few pages later, your signup can still be matched to the ad. Nothing is stored for it in your browser before you agree.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the site treats it as a no to advertising measurement. A yes in the banner then covers analytics only, and the advertising tag stays in its denied state.

What we do not do

• We do not sell what analytics or the advertising tag collect.
• We do not use them to build a profile of you, or to show you ads based on your visit (remarketing).
• We do not load Google Analytics before you agree.
• We do not let the advertising tag store anything in your browser before you agree.

How the consent banner works

The banner appears the first time you open the site. It gives you a clear yes and a clear no, side by side.

Everything that needs consent is set to denied before you answer. That is the starting state, not a fallback. Nothing is stored while the banner sits there waiting, and closing the page without answering leaves everything denied.

When you choose, the site acts on the answer at once, and again on every page you open after that.

How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change your mind at any time, in either direction, and you never need a reason.

1. Open "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. The banner appears again, and your new answer applies at once.
2. Clear the site data for this site in your browser. The banner then appears again as if it were your first visit.
3. Write to info@ota-builder.com if you cannot find the setting, or if the banner does not behave the way this page describes.

Withdrawing consent stops analytics and advertising measurement at once, and the campaign the site kept for your visit is deleted. Cookies your browser is already holding from Google are cleared through your browser's own site data view, which is the only place that can remove them.

You can also tell your browser to block cookies for this site entirely. That works too, and it is your call.

What happens if you say no

The site works normally. Every page, every guide and every form works exactly the same way with analytics and advertising measurement turned off.

Saying no does not hide content, add a second banner, nag you later or change what you pay for anything. The only difference is that your visit is not counted in our numbers.

Forms are a separate thing

Cookies are not how this site collects information about you. The forms are. If you fill in the form on the start page, the contact page or the report abuse page, or if you sign up to the newsletter, you send us information directly.

Sites built with OTA Builder

This policy covers the OTA Builder marketing site only. A travel booking website built with OTA Builder is run by its owner under their own brand, and that owner decides what their own site stores and publishes their own cookie policy. If you booked a trip somewhere and have a question about that site's cookies, ask the site you booked on.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when what the site stores changes. The date at the top shows when the current version was published. If we ever add a kind of cookie beyond the ones above, the banner will ask you about it before anything is set.
